Lighting The Way
Friday 28th October
4.30pm

This is a family friendly service as an alternative to Hallow’een.  You are encouraged to make lanterns that will be lit in the church and then carried to the Rectory garden after the service.  Here, there will be a bonfire, hot dogs and QUIET fireworks for everyone to enjoy.

Winter Warmer Lunches
Thursdays  3rd 10th  17th and 24th  November
12.15pm in the Wilson Room 
This is your chance to have a delicious lunch of homemade soup, freshly cooked rolls, cheese, fruit and a cup of tea or coffee for just £5 … and to chat with friends at the same time. The proceeds from the lunches will go to designated Church Charities
All Souls Service
Sunday 6th November
4.30pm

This is a special service to remember loved one who have died.  During the service, candles are lit in memory of those people. The choir is at this service and there will be music and readings to reflect this theme.

Please join us after the service for tea and cake in the Wilson Room

At the War Memoral
Friday 11th November 11.00am           
      

The clergy will be at the War Memorial at 11am to observe the two minutes silence.  Please come along to join in this commemoration.

Act of Remembrance

Remembrance  Day Service 11.00am

We will have our usual Act of Remembrance at the Village War Memorial.  This will finish just after 11am, but you are very welcome to join us in the church afterwards for a special Remembrance Day service.

The collection taken at the service goes to the Royal British Legion

"A Taste of France"

A French Evening in the village hall
Saturday 26th November

7.00pm - late  

Join us as we try out a variety of French wines both as an accompaniment to food and as a tasting quiz.   You will be welcomed with a glass of bubbly and be introduced to a number of wines by Andrew Mead of Taurus wines. Taurus Wines have won awards for their customer service and their expertise in this field.

During the evening you will be served a starter with wines chosen to compliment it, followed by a hot two course French themed supper.  Csn-can dancers will perform during the meal.  After this, more wine tasting, a wine Quiz, an amazing Raffle and a Silent Auction for a week in a French holiday cottage.  The licensed bar will be open throughout the evening and you will have the chance to buy bottles of the wines you have tasted at a special reduced rate.

This event is to raise money for Church funds.

Tickets:  £25 per person will be on sale mid-October
