This is a small charity from which grants can be made
to people who live in the parish or (outside the parish
with a long association with, and are integral to Ewhurst
village life) of Ewhurst and Ellens Green and come under
one of the two following categories.
For young people up to the age of 25 years financial assistance
can be given towards the cost of providing clothing, tools,
instruments and books needed for their education or trade,
also towards grants for furthering their education.
Grants can also be made to any person ‘ for relief
of need' to pay for items or services which will reduce
‘need, hardship or distress.' If you know of anyone
who may be eligible for financial assistance through the
Ewhurst Charity please ask them to contact, the secretary,

Applications will be treated in strict confidence. |

This charity meets annually and gives small grants to
organisations, groups and schools whose members on the
whole live in the parish of Ewhurst and Ellens Green,
and give benefit to the village as a community. It also
supports organisations whose wider influence supports
the people of both communities.
The Trustees met at the end of November and the wide range
of groups supported this year included the Ewhurst junior
football and cricket clubs, the Ewhurst Brownies, Ellens
Green Memorial Hall, The Citizens' Advice Bureau, Cranleigh
Village Hospital, Glebelands School, Ewhurst Infants School,
both Village Pre-schools to name a few.
