This Playschool for children aged 2 to 5 years of age was set up by its present owner, Jeannie Metcalf, in 1980.
It is based in the Pavilion, The Cricket Green, Ewhurst, Surrey and operates five mornings a week for approxmately 36 weeks a year in three terms.

There are 4 qualified members of staff and the Playschool is registered under Surrey Social Services who inspect it annually.
It is affiliated to the Pre-school Learning Alliance and is also inspected by Ofsted and considered by them to meet all the requirements set out by the last Government under the Desirable Learning Outcomes.

Our new Government has updated these outcomes which are now known as Early Learning Goals.
There are approximately 25 children on the register each year and the Palyschool takes a maximum of 16 children per session.

The two year olds generally attend twice a week from 9.15 am untill 11.30 am whilst the three year olds and upwards have between 3 and 5 sessions a week from 9.15 am until 12.15 pm.

The main emphasis of the Playschool is happiness and personal and social development but its curriculum covers the entire spectrum of the Early Learning Goals together with weekly PE, Music and IT sessions.
